Ok, so just a quick little update. Theres really not a lot to report. I'm giving tours just about every day as well as taking lots of pictures and helping out any way i can.
Hopefully, i'll be able to get down and visit the Technicians (including Vet techs) this week. I will be working with them some time this month as part of my internship. That entails observing check ups (and possibly helping) on the lemurs, cleaning cages and feeding the lemurs.
I've also been chosen as the official photographer for a activity involving Romeo (a diademed sifaka) and painting. The center wants to document the event and they've asked me to do it. Apparently, they looooove my pictures.

Anyway, thats pretty much all right now. Nothing else really.

Alrighty, Sorry (again and again) for lack of updates. Busy busy summer for me. I'm at work right now (wheeeee) I get my own desk, my own phone, my own computer! I gave my first tour yesterday and another one earlier this morning. Lucky for me, my 2pm tour got cancelled so i'm working around the gift shop right now.

I've gotten a little bit of a chance to go take pictures so i'll have those uploaded hopefully today or tomorrow. there are some really cool ones.
I got to go into one of the enclosures where the lemurs roam free. They came right up to us and started trying to climb on us, it was awesome! we had to back away though cause we didn't want to get them sick (humans can transfer diseases to them easily). the ring tailed lemurs were really intimidating at first cause they charged us then stopped about 2-3 feet away from us and stared. We scooted around them and started heading down the path some more. I looked back and snapped a quick shot of them following us in a perfectly straight line, the alpha female leading them all. Oh yah, thats another thing...FEMALES ARE DOMINANT! BOO YAH!

Anyway, i'll update when i can. This internship is so freaking cool! i love it here, it doesn't feel like a job or work. Its fun as hell!

Again, i apologize for not updating with pictures and such. I'm taking 2 summer classes that end next week then i'm going up to Canada to visit my friend Kurse. I can't wait!
Anyway, these two classes are fun but very time consuming. I'm in school from 10:30am (i usually get up at 8:30, out the door by 9:15am and at school by 10am, chill for 30 minutes then go to class) till about 3:30ish.

Anyway, this is the first weekend in 4 weeks that i've had time off and i'm enjoying myself by hanging with Ben, playing PS3 (I GOT ONE FINALLY!!) and Xbox 360...oh yah and sleeping. Sleeping is teh shiznit.

anyway, i'll try (try being the keyword there) to update something maybe tomorrow.

Sometimes, we have just just grit our teeth and suffer through hardships. Whether those hardships involve school, work, relationships, etc.
The old saying "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger" comes in to play. We refine ourselves, adapting to different situations as we go along. Some become numb to everything around them, others somehow muster up the courage and stand tall and yet others prepare themselves for disaster.
If a handful of different people think you are one thing, chances are that you are that thing. Not everyone is out to get you, they don't maliciously go after you, their intent only to hurt you. If you choose to believe that everyone is out to get you and hurt you, chances are you are a fucking paranoid schizo and need help.


anyway, just a tiny little rant about some things i've been hearing and shit. I'm gone for the weekend on a class lab. I'll try to take some pictures cause apparently we'll be in bum-fuck no where, alittle ways from east-bumblefuck. Dunno what type of pictures they'll be, i really don't know what to expect. Maybe you'll get some pics of my class
